WordPress launches its Windows desktop app on the Microsoft Store

WordPress launched the Windows desktop app on the Microsoft Store this week. Basically, it’s the same thing that’s also available on Web Browsers, but it’s now available as an app, so it can be useful for a lot of people.

In the screenshot below, you can see how the WordPress.com App listing looks, there is a WordPress logo and the developer of the app is noted. Users can directly download the app by clicking on the download link provided below and they will be taken to the Windows Store listing for it. The app can be found in the social section in the Windows Store.

With this desktop app, you can choose from a wide range of WordPress themes, post updates, share stories, and publish photo essays, as well as see real-time site statistics to see what your site is doing by checking out daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly insights. Furthermore, you will receive notifications regarding comments, likes, and new followers.

It appears that WordPress is adding new features to the app and fixing bugs regularly since we did not find any bugs up to this point, although some users reported an issue with the Help button causing the app to crash; however, this problem has been fixed by WordPress with the latest update.
