Ex-Googlers created Neeva, a privacy-first and ad-free Search Engine

Ex-Googlers created Neeva, a privacy-first, ad-free, and tracking-free search engine. The search engine is still in the early stages of development and needs an onboarding experience to use.

Ramaswamy was Google’s SVP of Ads, and Raghunathan was YouTube’s VP of Monetization. The two partnered to create a new search engine that offers solely to users. The privacy-first and ad-free feature of Neeva differs it from Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, and other search engines. The Neeva product team’s search experience also sets it apart from the competition.

Neeva has put a lot of work into helping its users with product testing. When you search for a product, the first results card says Expert Recommended, which means that the products have been selected by experts rather than marketers.

It shows product specifics from well-known publishers, and clicking on a result brings up a knowledge panel with additional information. While this user interface is informative and saves you time by not requiring you to leave the search result page, it does so by copying the majority of the relevant facts from the publisher’s reviews.
