Convertkit Acquires FanBridge, an Email marketing company for Musicians

FanBridge, an email marketing company for musicians, has been recently acquired by ConvertKit.

FanBridge was founded in 2006 solely to serve musicians, allowing them to communicate directly with fans via email. Over 600 million fan relationships have been powered by it since then for artists such as Amanda Palmer, Ice Cube, Mandy Moore, Maggie Rogers, Def Leppard, and DEVO.

The FanBridge team, led by FanBridge General Manager Scott Englund, has joined the ConverKit team as part of the acquisition. They will be working with all of their existing music creators as well as assisting FanBridge customers in migrating to ConvertKit so that they can take advantage of all of the features.

ConverKit has also served nearly 500,000 creators and helped them in connecting with over half a billion of their fans. Many of the new features inspired by musicians that are on the way will most likely be helpful. As an example:

  • Countdown Timer
  • Spotify Embedding
  • Video in the email (coming soon)

There will also be loads of features that will benefit all creators, such as the ability to repeat sequences (a function that advanced creators have requested the most), easily embedding tweets in your emails, and customizing the email preview text.
